Pigeon Forge Ministers
my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. – 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
Blessed to work in the Lord’s Kingdom for over 50 years, Danny has preached and taught the Word of God from North Carolina to Hawaii, where his daughter and son were born, to Michigan, Colorado and Oklahoma, as well as Texas and Tennessee. He moved to Pigeon Forge after 15 years working with the church in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Danny, from McCaysville, Georgia, and Polly (Jeril Hyne) from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, met at David Lipscomb University where he graduated majoring in psychology and which the Army tapped at Ft. Bragg, N.C. They have five grandchildren, all of whom are Christians, one great granddaughter and one on the way. Over the years Danny has communicated God’s Word in writing for newspapers, Christian publications, while speaking on television and radio. Believing that church growth is one Christian becoming more Christ-like, Danny’s goal in teaching has been to “equip the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12). To see Him more clearly, love Him more dearly, follow Him more nearly.
As a native of Kodak, Tennessee, he has lived and worked in the East Tennessee area his entire life. Jacob is a graduate of The University of Tennessee at Knoxville and is currently enrolled in the Biblical Studies program at Faulkner University. Throughout college, Jacob served in several Pigeon Forge minister roles before becoming our Youth Minister. He has attend our congregation for nearly eight years and has aspirations of becoming a Pulpit Minister. Jacob and his Fiancee, Azlin have both played crucial roles in helping to develop our younger generation in not only biblical knowledge but also Christian living. After both attending school in the Sevier County area they both look forward to not only serving the community but also making sure that the love story of Christ is told.
